The coin is dedicated to a witness of historical events in the Galician land, a bastion castle-fortress, built in the first half of the XVII century - Zolochiv Castle, which is a neo-Dutch type of fortifications. Located on a low hill, the castle was once used for both defense and housing, ie it belongs to the monuments of the type "palazzo in fortezzo". The fortifications of Zolochiv Castle are ramparts, bastions, a gate tower, bridges and ravelins. The Renaissance ensemble consists of the entrance tower, the Great Residential and Chinese palaces, which are one of the few examples of oriental architecture in Ukraine.
