Son of the Hutsul region Yuriy (Osip) Adalbertovich Fedkovich is a deeply popular artist, one of the leaders of the Ukrainian national revival in Bukovina. In the words of I.Franko entered the history of Ukrainian literature as `Bukovynian Kobzar`.
