The coin is dedicated to the international summer sports competition, held every four years under the auspices of the International Paralympic Committee under the Paralympic Movement. In the 15th Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Ukraine represented 170 Paralympics who competed in 15 sports. The national team of Ukraine took the third place in the overall medal count, having selected a record number of awards of various degrees - 117 awards, including 41 gold medals. Our Paralympics set 109 records in three sports: swimming, athletics and powerlifting, of which 22 are world records, 54 are European records and 32 are Paralympic records.
