The coin is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the first professional non-governmental organization of doctors in Lviv - the Ukrainian Medical Association. After restoration of its activities in 1990, in the status of the All-Ukrainian Medical Society, it is the only national medical professional organization that unites physicians throughout Ukraine. The All-Ukrainian Medical Society became a member of the leading European and world doctors' organizations.
