The silver coin is dedicated to one of the notable memorials of Ukrainian architecture of the eighteenth century, in which they found a bright embodiment of the techniques of the West European baroque. The Lviv Cathedral, the founder of which was Metropolitan Atanasiy Sheptytsky, was built during 1744 - 1761 under the project of Bernard Meretin, the most prominent architect of the then Right Bank.
