The coin is devoted to the typical lynx (Lynx lynx), which belongs to a number of predatory animals (Carnivora). Valuable fur is prevalent in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Its small populations were preserved in hard-to-reach areas of the forest in the Manevitsky district of the Volyn region. Included in the Red Book of Ukraine.
