The silver coin is devoted to the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people. On May 18, 1944, the Soviet regime began deportation of the Crimean Tatars from the historical homeland - Crimea. Their forced eviction, restriction of livelihoods resulted in the deaths of about half of those resettled. The National Bank of Ukraine launches a commemorative coin with the participation of the State Service of Ukraine for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The coin is made using patinization technology.
