The coin is devoted to the disappearing species of coniferous trees with valuable larch wood, the Polish Larix polonica Racib (the family of pine trees - Pinaceae), common in the Ukrainian Carpathians and listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. The Polish larch is grown in forests, parks and botanical gardens, in particular in the Kedrine and Skit Maniavsky Reserves.
