National Bank of Ukraine issued a new 20-hryvnia commemorative bill dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of the writer Ivan Franko.
The banknote differs significantly from the current 20-hryvnia bill that is in circulation. The portrait of Ivan Franko is in the center of the banknote. It follows our new line of design of banknotes that was put into circulation - this is a 100-hryvnia banknote of the 2014 model and a 500-hryvnia banknote of the 2015 model. Used all modern protective elements that are used on banknotes of high denomination, - noted the deputy chairman of the NBU Yakov Smolij.
