The coin is dedicated to the activities of the international coordinating superstructure of Ukrainian communities in the diaspora, which over 50 years represents the interests of millions of Ukrainians in the world. The purpose of UWC activities is to spread the principles of democracy, protection of human rights, support for independence, territorial integrity, national identity and economic development of Ukraine, the spiritual homeland of Ukrainians living abroad, on the planet. Since 2003, the UWC has been recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a non-governmental organization with a special consultative status.
